First step...

So honestly it's kind of tuff to pinpoint where eveyone should start but really it's up to how you feel like you want to accomplish today.

  • If you want to just stay at home today: make yourself a little project and pullout all of your photos from the attic. You need to start organizing them. Grab some index cards and turn them sideways. write the topics on the top and store them in any box, don't worry about buying all the official photo boxes now, just start dividing pictures and figuring out what pictures you want everyone to see!
  • If you don't really have any pictures or they're still all in your camara/phone, Well then get a camara and just take pictures of everyday things. You can do scrapbook pages about chores (laundry, dishes, fixing your room) scrapbooking is all about you, your family, your life. We'll touch moer on these subjects later. Go to Wal-martand print off pictures, you can even do them online at walmart.com go to photo and start editing your photos then drop by and pick them up later. If they are in your phone and your phone has bluetooth capabilities go to wal-mart and they can show you how to connect your phone to the kiosk wirelessly.
  • If you want to start shopping today, well then first thing's first start buying paper!! Just go by paper gallor. All types 12x12 8x10 8x8 whatever your heart desires just look for paper that you'd use. You don't want not having paper to be the thing holding you back from your inspirations. I bought paper at wal-mart and at archivers theyhave a spot for really inexpensive paper.

Enjoy, don't let scrapbooking become a chore or a hassle. Just enjoy! If youhave any questions let me know I'll do research for you!!!

Getting Started in the scrapbook world.

When I was first getting started, I looked everywhere for info to get started the only problem is I couldn't find a good solid basis to get started. I didn't know what to buy and where to go! It was frustrating. I hopefully will be able to help you that are beginnig on the road to making some beautiful layouts. I'm on the journey with you so join my blog and visit me on twitter to stay up on the news. Alright so when I first got started I went to this great store Archivers. (I live in Utah so i'll be giving most of my info from here but most of these stores are nationwide) I took a beginners class there for free. I just showed up and they gave me a starters guide and the teacher was great!!
No worries if you can't go I'll be posting all these beginner guides and lessons on my website throughout this week.
